1.  Decent numbers, and an active account wouldn't hurt either.
2.  Larry's old bomber mishuns.
3.  The fact its a ghost town at the times I usually play, and that it's broken on TT so I can't go there to get away.
To each their pwn.

1.  :bolt:

2. Short time to action.

3. The frequent changes that seem to cater to people avoiding fights.  For example, the latest no icon thingie.  The only one benefiting from it, is the guy coming to pick you.

1) 38s and a cookie (any set is fine really)

2) The no icon deal was a plus I thought. You have to ID the bird friend or foe. Generally good folks who were coming there. Short times to get in fight. etc.

3) Usually not enough folks.

Rock and a hard place really, you have to get a fire started but we lost all the matches.

How about we get a few folks to voluntarily set aside 2 weeks to fly mostly if not all in AVA. See if that makes enough kindlin to get a fire started.

If this sounds interesting I would be glad to go two weeks hard at it. I'll fly either side to balance and offer anyone a target.

To get the AVA going again is a tall order. Jaeger is making a go at it and I'll be glad to help where I can.

and that it's broken on TT

Can anyone confirm this?

Everytime I've been in on Tuesday, it's been fine.

Is this an old resolved issue with a lingering perception or does it continue to be a problem?

My squad has frequented the AvA on both squad nights and FSO by-weeks.

We really enjoyed the prospect of the mini-scenario, and I think bomber escort missions would be great fun.

Not enough people. Even when 3-4 squad mates and I log in to the arena, few people follow us. More people attracts more people, which attracts more people, which attracts more people...

Used to be broken, for quite some time it has been fine. I think they switched the servers for the arenas around a year ago.

At least a short icon range maybe 800 or 600. And posibly the citys further apart becouse since i started playing in there every fight turns into a 200 ft off the deck furball all night. Everyone is scared to get into the blue cuz everyone will see them lol.

I love no icons! If you don't want guys sneaking up on you, get some alt, and stay vigilant.

Questions:

1. what would it take for you or your squad to frequent the AVA 1 night or more a week?

answer: Icons on, and if I could get more squaddies to come with.

2. what do you like about the AVA, if anything? (Please speak from experience)

   answer: Historical matchups

3. what do you dislike about the AVA, if anything? (again, please speak from experience)

   answer: Having no icons

I havent been in the AVa in a longtime and the main reason....Ive made a habit out of clicking a LW MA or recently the DA. I practically dont even see the other arenas its such a habit.

Questions:

Decent numbers (doesn't need to be 300, but when I log on at Euro times it's usually 0-1), standard icon settings, acceptable player behaviour, allround gameplay options similar to MA

2. what do you like about the AVA, if anything? (Please speak from experience)

Historic matchups

3. what do you dislike about the AVA, if anything? (again, please speak from experience)

Icon settings. Very bad experience with player behaviour (insults, pursefights, elitist attitude) on many occasions over a few years. Both were absolute gamebreakers for me.

I think the AVA team is doing a remarkable job trying to give the community what it wants.  As soon as my box gets back I'll be back in there inviting death to find me.

Not enough numbers complaints?  I've found that 9 out of 10 times if I go in there and there's nobody around so long as I up a plane somebody will come in there and pounce me.  So my suggestion to the community at large is if you like what you're seeing out of the AVA staff lead others in there with your presence.  I think the elitist mind set is, for the most part, a thing of the past.  Most of the guys that frequent the arena are class acts and above average sticks (I exclude myself on both points).

The first night of Jet Week I had 5 or 6 of my squad mates in there yukking it up and having a blast.  There's no cover and no dress code so drop on in :)

Just a thought here how about some of you predominately Allied squads challenge a predominately Axis squad to a week long battle in there? Or vice versa?

I couldn't disagree more about any comments on the no icon's. It is in fact the best thing about the AvA and truly makes ACM "come alive". Just about everything that doesn't "add up" when viewed via the normal AH experience all of a sudden makes perfect sense.
