Windows Crawls into Startup

Could the SoundBlaster Live be the reason for a Very slow loadup of windows?
Mine just crawls on bootup. I get to the WIN 98 Splash screen and I have to go for a coffee. Once that clears I notice that the only lines added were in reference to the Live card values.

P3V4X 466 Celeron (Not O/C)
192 SDRam
Viper 770 AGP
SoundBlaster Live
Windows 98 SE
 Any help would be appreciated.

Download TweakUI and after installing it lower the boot delay to a lower time setting.(I set mine to 5 seconds-default is 30)

ftp://ftp.cmp.com/dist/wm/wmfiles/1998/9811nov/twekui98.exe

You can also click start/programs/accessories/system information/tools/system configuration utility and disable the programs that you don`t need or want to start when Windoze loads by unchecking them.

If you have dsl or cable modem service Windows could be waiting for your ISP host to respond before proceeding. If you are using dial up....then ignore me.
