Napster
« on: September 05, 2010, 03:44:24 PM »
Its so frustrating. It seems the genre of music I like they want me to buy half the songs from these artists  :furious  :furious

I already pay them $15 a month and they still want me to buy individual songs? I think its ridiculous that they want me to pay for something I'm already paaying for.

The headroom of a CD, is superior to an mp3 from Napster.   You get what you pay for.

+1 for Karaya. Purchasing mp3 songs from online places like Napter, Itunes, or Zune for example, is just overrated. Id rather pay $20 for a CD, listen to the songs where ever I want, whenever I want, and how often I want. No monthly BS fees to deal with. No ads, spyware, malware or any other sort of online BS to deal with. If your computer crashes, you lose those songs on your computer. You don't have that problem if you own a CD and CD player.

I might be old school, but that's just me.

With Napster you don't actually lose the songs if your computer crashes. Once you get it going again you reinstall Napster and all your songs are saved in their online library.

ou do have to redownload them but it doesn't cost anything. I use a Samsung mp3 player that will hold 500+ songs. I hate when I'm listening to CD's and i want to listen to a

different artist and I gotta dig the CD's out, find the right one, eject the old, and put the new one in while I'm driving down the road because i don't have one of those fancy 5 cd radios. Thats what

holds me back from CD's. I don't see any reason what so ever to charge 99 cents a song after I pay them $15/month.

Rip the CD to your hard-drive? Gives you the quality and physical backup of a CD and the convenience of a media library.

Picked up a box of 45's some time ago. My turntable doesnt have the insert for 45's though so I have to make sure the 45 is centered on it to play right. Have to see if I can get everything dug out form moving
