I usually lower my throttle just a few inches of manifold pressure to help get a stable speed sooner. Chasing full speed at full throttle can take more time.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

this is true, it does. i've lowered the throttles on occasion, but have better luck keeping them wide open. if i'm bombing something in support of others, i keep them advised, and they plan accordingly.  :aok
