Keep in mind, we only have 3 partial squadrons confirming they will help out. Realisticly, I expect no more than 25 fighters, while I may hope for 30-35.

<S> MoM pilots. It was a real blast. Got 3 of your B-17's out of the main group. Maybe we can do this again if both sides had fun. Already made some notes on what does and doesn't work, and plan on being better organized next time.

Great times.

Was a BIT dissapointed to see a flight of 4 p-51's (at 30k no less) engage the group as the bombers climbed out.
That and the 4 262's that tried to vulch the returning bombers as they sat and lined up for a end-of-MoM screenshot.

Hope next month we get even MORE numbers.

The 20th FG had 7 and we all attacked you at 35k. we knew the odds were against us but we gladly fought to the death and dragged approx 15 fighters with us to the deck

That was very fun, I counted 34 bombers in mission but more joined after it took off, and 20+ fighters. It was great, my bombers made it home with only abit of damage. That was a great MoM, well organized and controled. I cant wait for the next one, and to host my Bishop MoM.

Oh btw I have a full video of the whole MoM Mission, if anyone wants a copy.

  I was lucky throughout the mission. I kept seeing planes come at me and suddenly they'd hit the guy next to me. Many times I saw enemy planes whizz past me real close, heard the guns but no damage. Did hear a few pings but nothing tragic. Made it home and stayed airborne around the filed as guys landed. Lost 2 drones to 262s bent on landing vulches, but ended up landing ok.

  Great work Delta, I hope I can make the next one.

Had a great time. I've got film up until the time I had to bail, will try and get some screenshots up later. Flew a 109K4, weaved and dodged through the escorts getting off a couple of snapshots, had a 38 about 800 yds back at one point that got a few light pings in as I dodged, then a 51 overshot after getting a ping or two in. That left me at the same alt and behind the buffs, so had to do the really nasty straight-6 run. Shot down 1 B-17 and pinged another before oil damage, a pilot wound, and no ammo had me turn for home. Had to bail near A53 as my plane slowly lost control.

The giant formations of B-17s with swarming escorts elicited some fun "Holy $#@$#" calls over Vox

Hey, this game can get stale after awhile, like it or not , the MOM's breath in some new life to this game .

Besides it is the closest that some get to experiance an FSO, only in FSO you have no DAR bar to find the enemy. Love the aluminium overcast and seeing everyone zip around dogfighting!  96Delta.....good to have you back!

When checking my 50 minutes of film, I found that the reports about altitudes of both bombers as well as their escorts had been grossly exaggerated for the most part. Even by myself.
In AH at high altitude, more distant cons often seem to be way above you while in fact they are just slightly higher.

The bombers actually had been between 23-26 (their target level being 25k obviously, very few of the fighters that tried to bounce me had been higher than 30k (most Ponies were well below 30 before engaging, only a small flight of P-38 happened to be 30-36k)
