99.9% of the time in cases like these the pilot of Plane A underestimated the energy state of Plane B while grossly over-estimating his own energy state.  I don't think the OP's case falls within the .1% area.

ack-ack

bolded.

this is where i have a LOT of problems....mostly with judging the other guys energy. getting better at it, and make the mistake less than before though

i was in a B25 at 85 trying to turn fight with a F4U who kept running away everytime i had guns on his 6 ( couple 75's were tossed at him to lol ) after about 10 Min's of chasing him around i went back to rearm, upon final approach i see him diving in on me from 6 k above, i do a few moves and again he starts to run so i landed, re-upped a G6 and he was gone, sure was funny to listen to the range channel to hear other buff pilots laughing cause he was running from me   :joystick:
Anyone with a little common sense would run from a B25 on your 6, look at all the firepower. BTW, what does this have to do with the Brewster??  :huh  :salute

In the hanger, before u up, type .brewwep and you will get the Brewster variant with wep. It can go up to 525. I was the Brewster that shot you. All I did was kick in the WEP and I caught up.

i was  :airplane: at 85 on the deck in a f4u4 at 500mph and get shot down by brewster at 500mph the thing was 800 away i dont what happened :furious :headscratch:

Objects in rear view are closer than they appear. Net lag makes it hard to judge when somebody has a shot at you because while you see them 800 yards away on your computer  they may see you at 600 yards ahead or less on their computer.

Slower planes can catch faster planes if they are faster.

Also, planes that are a long way off can kill you if they're closer.

In the two years I have been playing I have never once encounter anything that could be considered a bug...  It kinda bothers me when you here people constantly saying...  "oh come on,  how'd he do that"  or "there's no way he turn that think like that"  "did you see,  that's not right"

I don't get...  When I get whacked I usually have it coming...  I had a TBM catch my 51 the other day.  I was low and slow and he had good alt on me...  Subsequently I was shot down by a bomber.

It's been told time and time again the the public forums is NOT the place to post allegations of 'fishy' situations.

I don’t see where the OP made any allegations, do you?
i was  :airplane: at 85 on the deck in a f4u4 at 500mph and get shot down by brewster at 500mph the thing was 800 away i dont what happened :furious :headscratch:
I do see where the OP failed to communicate because of poor sentence structure and I think we are all assuming that he meant to say “I don’t know what happened”  but I don’t see anywhere in is post where he made allegations of anything.

800nate, consider this:
You are screaming along at 500mph, 85ft AGL.   Someone at 500 ft sees you, you don’t see him.   He anticipates your route of flight, and takes the necessary  action to position himself on your six as the result of a Split “S” with a top speed of 300mph.  His timeing is such that he is able to start firing at you at his closest proximal distance which may have been 200 feet and he continued firing at you while your superior speed opened the distance, however, the time it took you to open the distance to 800 ft, he opened you up with all that lead.  Also, you being in a flat line of flight, means that your aircraft was continuing to slow down, your speed was dropping to whatever the top speed is of the F4u4 at sea level with WEP.
