I actually made this a couple of years ago… 3 pounds (uncooked weight) of bacon on a single sandwich. I special made the loaf of thick egg bread for structural integrity.


I toy with the idea of making a 4 pounder soon.

And I always save the bacon drippins to pop my popcorn in. Add some homemade Amish butter, a bunch of sea salt and you have an artery clogging bowl of Heaven!

But after Meatwad's MOST INSPIRATIONAL POST EVAH yesterday and having immediately made a killer apple wood smoked Bacon sandwich...then I made another late last night...and THIRD today...

I love that super thick thick cut & cured - smoked apple wood bacon you can get at Whole Foods...

Sin city slow cooked on cast iron...

Now I am drinking Beer...

My God....heaven on earth...

Did I mention I fried some eggs in the leftover fat for breakfast ?
