Japanese Large Landing Barge (Daihatsu)

I know this is low on the priority list, but I wish the supply barges would be updated to resemble the Japanese Daihatsu supply barges that were used in the Pacific. It would give us another target for the PT Boats to go after.

The Daihatsu type is on the right in this picture. The Toku Daihatsu would also be a nice addition but it was less common.



Either of these barges would be a nice (with or without guns) replacement for the current barge.

be nice to have something you could land heavy armor on the beach head.such as  LCT up grade battle gruop with 2 lct support ships. loose those and you no longer can  spawn LCT. really mess up those spawn camps evey body either loves or hates.make keeping track of cvs groups that more important and keeping them also.

For one it would be one possible way of crossing a narrow strait of water without having to have a task group!

If you had these available at say a port. First part of the sortie your piloting the barge, defending it, etc. Once you run it aground you switch to the tank loaded inside for the other half.

Or even if you make them semi automated like the barges some fields and ports. Its more targets for PT boats and planes.

Perhaps a slew of auto-cannons and heavy guns onboard?  It would be great for shelling the beachead and providing fire support for its 70-80 troops (scripted bots with the regular .45 pistol).  Imagine the fight on the beach, you'd have machine guns (scripted bots, again, but they'd be dug in deep with great ord protection) mowing down the infantry, the infantry busting caps in the heads of the gunners.  It would be amazing!  The battlefield would look like D-Day!

I think you guys may be missing the point of Baumer's request. I think he is asking for the current barges, to be updated to one of these Japanese planks, as opposed to a player controlled vehicle. Then again, I could be wrong.
