You have everything setup right, just need to tell the control manager that you want to add your combat stick to your virtual controller.
All you do is hit the button with the joystick with the + symbol next to it, then select combatstick in the window that pops up. hit ok.
now you see a graphical representaion of your stick, with all its buttons. this is werhe you can setup the buttons how you want them, change axis on the stick, etc.
then all you do is hit the activate current map button, and you'll see a ch control manager device in controllers in gameing devices.
if you have more sticks, throttle, pedals, etc from ch, add them to the control manager map.
once you have everything setup, save the map so you can load it and activate it before you play Aces, or whatever you wnat to play.
Don't have the time to get into more detail at the moment, but this shoudl help you out hopefully.
Also, dont do anything with the sticks in the windows controller window. everything is handled thru ch's program. you don't calibrate or anything thru windows (tho youreally dont need to calibrate at all, just move your sticks around before you get into aces).
