Don't think anyone has disputed that.  It was pointed out that the A-20s that used the 20mm cannon package did so during operational combat field testing and didn't see widespread use.

This page explains what & when on the cannons as well as when bombs were strapped on to the wings. We just don't have the right model 20-G at present to have the 20MM cannons.

Cannon armed A-20's saw combat in the South Pacific with US squadrons. Yes they were not favored, due to the 20mm's performance in real life, but that hasn't stopped other aircraft in AH being highly used.

Arg.... I came across about a half dozen or so pictures of the rocket installation on that A-20 earlier today. I'll try to find them again.
