SLI / NVidia Surround
« on: October 08, 2010, 09:05:11 AM »
I am interested in going to a 3-monitor Surround setup as I redo my desk space. I currently have an XFX GTX 285 1GB card in the system, but it has been discontinued:

Since I need to go SLI to do the 3-monitor setup, and this will be the first time I've gone SLI, I'm wondering about my options. Will another similar 285 card work, or do they need to be / should they be the same card?

Same chip different manufacturers will not matter but make sure the memory size is the same.

If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

Also make sure of the obvious.. you need a motherboard that supports it as well (with at least two PCI-e full length slots).
