Popping a CV from 10K is remarkably easy when you get the technique down. Good calibration, 1 CV length of lead at 10K, 9 out of 10 times you'll send it to Davy Jones' locker. Even if someone turns it, it's usually easy enough to correct for, as the bombs will be there before the cv is more than 25-30 degrees off center.
EDIT: Someone (Bish) the other night gave me fits by "snaking" the cv with very mild S turns while maintaing the same basic heading. Lancs would've popped it, but I was in a Mossy without a formation. Splash damage from the cookie still lit the candle even though I missed by a good 50 feet.
