Vote for what you want anyways. I remember being very skeptical the P-39 would see the light of day in AH just because of its reputation amongst the players but was glad it got enough notice in the voting process it was added eventually.

Beaufighter. I like but but it fills no holes in the planeset. Its a slower Mosquito VI.

That hurts squire, that hurts! :)

40-45, every theater of the war.  No Mossie VI was out there lugging Torps like the Torbeaus.    No Mossies in North Africa.  No Mossies in New Guiniea.  No Mossies in the CBI outside of a very few at the end.  No Mossies out of Malta outside of 1 or 2

Ki-43 would be my second choice

I think it's going to be between the B-29 and the A-26 just because people think they're "neat" and from how they think the planes perform from watching the History Channel.

ack-ack
This is my expectation as well.  In that case I will vote for the B-29A.  At the least it will then get the endless "add the B-29" posts out of the forums and it played a much larger role in WWII than the A-26 did.

Also, if it is added it gives fuel to get the Ki-44 and J2M3a or J2M5 added.

If the B29 is added they will have to make the runways longer wont they?

If they add it, will formation's be enabled?  I would certainly hope it does comes with formations and that it's adjusted to take into account the size of the plane.  I would say, make it's home field the 163 base.  It would be a lot easier to just modify one field on the map to accommodate the B-29 vs having to redo all the large fields.  The other thing they may have to change is the location of some of the 163 bases.  Some of them have hills in the way of all "long" runways (trying to think of the map, but am drawing a blank.  Very bad headache atm), and I would guess that the B-29 will be like a lanc with 100% fuel and 14k ords at takeoff.  That being said, the perk price will probably be around 100-200 per bomber at this point, seeing as we really don't have many aircraft that can intercept it well at the moment.  Once we start getting a/c that can intercept her, then maybe lower the perk price?  We all know that most folks are going to go into low orbit with it to protect their perks, as if many don't do that now with the non perked bombers anyways. :lol

Now imagine one of Swoop's Epic Missions with B-29A's... :O  :joystick: :x  Me thinks the target Capital will have a bad day that day. :devil

I can't think of any interceptors better than those we already have  :headscratch:

I think B29 tops out at like 285, definitely not a rocket ship.

Not even remotely true. With this day and age of the internet, things like these are easy to check.

You sadden me with your ignorant tongue P-38G driver.  ;)

I'm thinking A26, although the Beau or Boomerang would be nice also. An idea would be to implement new planes/models based on historical precedence, not necessarily "What people want".
I'm not knocking voting, but hopefully the planes/upgrades would arrive in a sensible, chronological order.

If the 29 wins, it may be kind of neat to see how the remote turrets work via htc's modeling efforts

Exactly my point. The turrets as they are now are already remotely controlled. the only option I can think of is to dumb down the existing ones

Exactly what I've been thinking for a long time. I don't quite understand this talk about "how they would work". Why would the system be any different from what the sim currently has? Just because the gun operator doesn't have a gun in front of him doesn't mean that the system would be any different.
