Go on Ron Hunt's
Unofficial Saitek Help Center. He has a UBB board and this matter has been discussed in its
External Rudders Support forum.
For my part, I uninstalled my USB devices (X36 and Pro Pedals) by removing the peripherals from the Device Manager in the System control panel, then
unplugged my USB devices (very important), used NukeUSB then RemoveJoy as described on Ron's site (in the instructions for installing the X36, the part where it is suggested to remove old versions of SGE). I'm not sure if I had to remove the SGE software from the Add/Remove Programs control pannel. I shut down my computer. Rebooted.
Then installed the X36 as if it was new as per Ron's instructions (install software, then plug the X36), then I applied the modifications for Bob's driver for external rudders support. I rebooted. I shut down the computer.
Then I started it again, and proceeded to plug the CH Pro Pedals USB. Then I shut down the computer.
After rebooting the X36 is consistently take ID#1, and the Pro Pedals, ID#2.
Or you could just contact Bob Church and ask him to send you his beta utility for making sure the devices are on the right IDs. (Contact him on his web site,
