My GIMP virginity...

Has been lost.   Didn't do too much to the original, blurred it a bit and threw in a lighting effect. Took the image from the AH film viewer, which is why the bombs are out of place, kinda bugs me. I think it's alright, still trying to figure out how to work the layers. Also figured out how to save as JPEG without losing much quality (pretty simple, very very nice!)

I would love to try Fraps in the future, but my computer tends to drop down to around 7fps in heavy areas as is. I think I'll stick with the flaws in the film viewer until I get a (job) new computer 

Also found out my image works great as a backround! I kinda like how the aircraft is slightly blurred/out of focus with my icons clear in the foreground. The smooth lighting effect just kinda puts everything together and, wow! I hate to compare myself to a god, but I feel like I have one of Biggles' creations on my desktop

Tried the new (Clothify) setting in gimp today.. What cha think?

I like the colours & effect, not a big fan of borders though. Maybe with a bit more editing you could give the border more of a 3D feel, to make it look like a frame? Just my thoughts.
