Can we have runway numbers?
« on: November 12, 2010, 11:33:30 AM »
Can we have runways numbers not just N, E, NE, ect...
It would make things a lot more realistic and should not be hard to make.

if your asking for numbers then that means you might as well put in threshold and center line markings too. but isnt the reason that they dont have it is because so the enemy cant spot it faster.

Do you mean just in the hanger or actually written on the runways?  For the latter, I don't believe most WWII airfields were labeled that way (correct me if I'm wrong).  As for just in the hanger, meh, since every field would be the same I don't think it would add much.

I don't know about small airfields, but I believe large bases were.

Just look at your compass heading before you up. If your heading is 170 degrees, you're on runway 17.

I'd rather have the runway tell me that ;)

Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?
Apparently I'm in the 20th FG 'Loco Busters', or so the legend goes.

No......... This game isn't for ex-military, nor pilots..... It's for the general public.  Although I would prefer it, I feel it would cause confusion for the general stupid people.

As Yossarian said, that's the runway's job not my.

Just for the record, LLogan, ex-military denotes that a person was dishonourably discharged.
