Its Time for a new joystick

I have a pro pedal set up non usb.

I use a game card gc3. I love this peice it imo gives me a edge in low speed turn fights.

What i want to get rid of is stick spikeing how ever small.
Ive read usb will do this.
The microsoft optical joysticks too ive heard are super smooth.
No pots too if possible.
I also want as many hats as i can get.

Anyone have some advice? This j-stick will have to last many years.

Had them all... settled on Saitek X36 combo USB.. superb... lots of programable buttons.. tryed using German rudders but none USB kept killing me with "don't move controls so fast" messages... now use USB Ch rudders...  ADVICE.. only go USB!
Liked logitech a lot but not enough buttons...

I went through the same decision problem some time ago when my Thrustmaster stuff just couldn't be patched up any more.

I really wanted CH stuff, but they still don't have a good USB stick and throttle out yet. So I tried the Saitek x36 USB combination throttle and stick to use till CH came out with some good stuff.

What a surprise. I love this Saitek x36 and USB is the only way to go. I quickly junked my old rudder pedals and got a set of CH Pro USB Pedals. You'll love this combination. So far it's rock solid and easy to set up. Much better control.

Now I'm no longer waiting for CH to come out with something. I don't plan to change from this excellent Saitek stick.

You can download my Saitek x36 profile from the downloads page to get you started if you choose this excellent stick.

The x 36 uses pots ?

I can still use the pro throttle and the x 36 usb?

Ive heard many good things about the usb version.

Is it a robust design? i rember my last flirt with the micro soft stuff. Lol i riped the handle off in 2 weeks twisting it.

I would recommend the Saitek X-36 combo.  Great joystick, but make sure you get the USB version.  I think you can get em from Best Buy for about 50$ right now.  If ya cant find it at your local store, try their website www.bestbuy.com.   Don't let the price fool you, this thing rocks a dead ponys ass......
