On Uterus the Southern position always gets hammered.  Every map has it's weaker positions, it isn't anything to do with Chess piece or numbers.

Hopefully when the shoe is on the other foot Bish can show some self restraint and the unfortunate Nit or Rook team can man up and defend their borders without running to HT for help.

Didn't say that only a side does it, just pointing out that 1 side its more prevalent.
I usually will switch to another side not noeing time after time just to bust them up.  Get out and about, you will quickly see who does it more often and with larger amounts.
Not sure if its because its the Default Bish thing when you join or what.

Yeah, I don't know.....All I know is that I'm a base defender (basically looking for quick fast action and when the numbers are overwhelming I can then cry on 200 also.  :D :lol :lol :lol) And during the times I get to fly I see the same things, only not on my green side...not to say they don't do it though, I know they do. But that is my time zone. and I also notice that when numbers dictate there are more brash attacks...

I just need as much red around me as possible...that way at least one or two will fly through my bullet stream at some point...I find it hard enough to fight the red guys let alone fight with my own side for a red guys  :lol :lol :lol
so the breakdown here is better for me than no fight at all.

Seriously?!?  I don't change around much but each side is pretty much the same with their ways....just depends what time you fly I suppose..

All depends what your game is too. We commonly like to fight base defense so I guess guys that play that game see it more frequently. I have to say Dads has a valid point that certain chesspieces do have a common "theme" to syle they play. Its no secret the one country that has the most mega squads are the ones that gravitate to the real estate portion of the map. What I just cant stomach in this situation is that these same guys that are screaming bloody murder are the same guys that have no problems conducting that type of behavior themselves.

If there was a bug in the system, then why not report it once the arena was opened? Perhaps because these trolls were drooling at the fact that knock out all their bases until they had nowhere to fly and win one for  ZA FATHERLAND.

I certainly would never codone the ganging and yes its wrong.  More often than not I can honestly say even that I fly rook that Nits have always gotten the shaft on the ganging side and never a peep or cry to HT.SUCK IT UP, and find fun no matter the situation. Look at it this way, you had 1 base, least you could of thought all bish would of been concentrated there so no worries about calling for help  :aok

This shot taken just a few minutes ago.  Crooks have all the bases surrounding nit HQ.  :huh

I guess Nits just don't whine about being ganged, being used to it and all.

OK I have found a post in the thread I can fully support:

I get really really tired of selective realism disguised as a desire to make bombers easier to kill.

Dude your clueless

he is very clueless.....one of those people who you could say "The round in this weapon, once fired with it fixed at your temple, will kill you." and they will say nuh uhhhhhh then you do it...and then his ghosts comes around screaming "LIES! IT'S ALL LIES!" then floats off to his sheep.  :lol

But what can ya do?  :joystick:

Ah the days when we could take bombers off of CVs and fly around with the smoke....and when we got our first new map and it had incredibly high mountains that went STRAIGHT up! I remember following skuzzy in muh tank MG as he flew around and observed. What happened? :P :P

From the screenshot of the Uterus map, it seemed like the Knights and the Rookies had no troubles capturing bases.  Kind of sinks the argument that bases are too hard to capture.  Keep back peddling though, it amuses me.

ack-ack

Just as I suspected:

Last month's stats for Ack-Ack

Late War Tour 130 Bomber Scores for ackack
   Score      Rank
SNIP
Field Captures    0    3390

Late War Tour 130 Attack Scores for ackack
   Score      Rank
SNIP
Field Captures    0    2667

Late War Tour 130 Vehicles and Boats Scores for ackack
   Score      Rank
SNIP
Field Captures    0    3358

Yes, Ack-Ack you are really tearing it up in that category.  Oh snap!

I am not suggesting that you don't know anything about base capture.  I am however questioning whether you have any interest in it.

Besides being a small map, and the locust horde "adaptation" of game play, base capture has had a more and more limited approach.  The new villages look awesome, they just SUCK, when it comes to finding all of the destructible objects.

And yes I do have an interest in base captures.  I would have been one of the first to switch sides and help push back, if there were any hope of doing anything other than padding another guys stats.

I find it interesting how some players can spend all of their time on the BBS and in the arena talking about how low skilled the other players are at the game when their only skill or stat is flying one plane all of the time. The same players talk about no skill Gvers, yet have no GV points or any record of even being in a GV for many prior tours. Players who talk about how easy it is to capture bases yet don't even have a base capture or bomber score before or since the town layout changed back in June.

Scores are not very important in my book. I just think that if a fellow player is going to criticize other players for not having the skills to capture a base, operate a GV, or pilot a bomber, that person should have at least some record of doing those things recently himself.. The same players tell others how they should defend their bases, yet do not even have a Wirble or field gun score. This makes me think that as soon as the enemy gets cap on a base those guys bug out leaving it undefended.

Many of those Quote "Low Skilled Players" they talk about  fly bombers, attack planes, fighters, and drive Gv's all in the same night while playing.

Maybe many players enjoy being decent at many things instead of being perfect at one thing in the game... I am sure that if a player spent all of his arena time flying only one plane, he or she would get very good in that plane over time. I see nothing wrong with this at all. It is the player that decides what he or she chooses to do in the game. But they shouldn't be telling another player how much they suck at capturing bases, flying bombers, or operating a GV when said player has no recent record of doing any of these things since before the game changed back in June. I emphasize the game change in June because before then, any NOOB could take a v-base, town, or port by himself if he wanted.

To be fair to Ack-Ack, I must not throw stones.  Looking at my glass house, I had identical field capture scores for last tour.   :uhoh  This indeed did surprise me some, but in retrospect, I have joined the ranks of those who feel it has become a waste of time to bring troops, even when someone is begging for them on channel.  Most times, if  the maproom is truly ready, there are already 30 other troops standing by (waste of manpower, since it only rewards the last troop that enters the maproom).

And back on topic, thanks for the correction with the map.  :aok

But don't believe the hype that bases were rolling left and right.  Earlier during the day players were rolling missions and able to grab turf.  By the time the numbers grew, and bases for Bishops became few, the base capture ground to a screeching HAULT!  The result was the merciless attacks repeated over and over with no push towards either country to win the war (or do anything other than fly cap over Bishop fields).

So why is there a three sided war again?

Many of my frustrations with the game come back to this, and why I wish I could make more special events or the AvA was busier.

Most of the rest come back to folks who want the MA to be the DA, but I digress.
