I'd like to see the Curtiss Hawk Model 75 included.  It did well during the Battle of France.

Its funny I think that everyone rants on about the French being cowards, the Brits needing saving and the US being white knights.

And not consider the several million Russians and their kill total of 85% of all German ground forces.

I am not calling the French cowards or the US White Knights. But was it true that Winston Churchill (Prime Minister at the time) wrote multiple letters to the US President asking for help?

If you own FSX there is a crowd called vertigo studios who make a most excellent P36 Hawk complete with a French skin. I bought that one and their SBD (which makes an interesting comparison to the AH2 version).

The Hawk was produced by Curtiss and sold to a pretty wide variety of countries, including France, Finland, and Holland.

It would be nice since it didn't only find its way into French hands, however, it would be nice to have a domestic French fighter, either the D.520 or the MS.406 (which was also sold to Finland).

The D.520 was a nice looking aircraft, and apparently on par with the Bf 109E, which was the Luftwaffe's premier fighter in the Battle of France.

Not a single French unit broke and ran in WWII.  Not one.  That is not something that the United States can claim about its military.

The French soldiers and airmen fought very bravely, but lost due to their leaders, political and military.

Contrary to the idiotic meme you are propagating, cowardice is not the only way to lose a war.

d 520 is about the only real french plan that would ever be flown, and only in the EW at that - of course there are som WWI planes.

However, we could have some Vichi colors on 109s and 190s, some Free French on spits and hurries, and NN 8lik my sig) on yak 9T and yak-3s (when those fnally amke it into the game).

The french faught in ww2 very well, but alwys in the shadows of the larger armies - and on both sides.

All EW planes are available in LW too, and they are being flown there.
More than in EW itself ;)

However, we could have some Vichi colors on 109s and 190s,

No, we could not. Vichy France never had those planes.

Hate America? Are you serious? I was wishing people Happy Thanksgiving and I haven't the slightest notion what Thanksgiving is!!
I had a French guest in town for Thanksgiving this year.  Showed him the Norman Rockwell painting, "Freedom from Want," prior to serving up a 100,000 calorie dinner.

Thanksgiving.  Eat until you're tired, sleep until you're hungry.

On the OP:  Yes to French (and any other early war) aircraft.  D.520 is a great start.  :salute

Nice machine.  + 1 for the Hawk.

.50 cals, .30 cals in the wings.

Actually they are all 7.5mm (.295) guns. The French Hawks didn't recieve heavier calibre armament until in Finnish hands.

Regarding the French aircraft...

If the want is for historical fighter to fit to the Battle of France campaign, the best candidate for that would be Curtiss Hawk75A. But if the want is for best domestically built French aircraft, then the choise would be Dewoitine D.520.
