Quite the opposite for the group we were escorting drfritz...we were 9 escorts covering 4 110s. I think they all made it home but only half of us made it back since we got greedy on the way home and went after some B-26s that were outbound and it cost us a couple of engines.

JG11's escorts did a fine job,got us to target and we encountered several spits. I think we lost 1 or 2 planes and hit most of our target.

Most made it home, except a couple of diso's.

   :salute

  Thx,great job guys. :aok

USMC had a valiant if under-staffed escort. They did a great job getting us in to the fleet we sank, but the single squad of escorts vs 3+ squads of seafires (the entire sky was filled with enemy dots) killed us LITERALLY seconds after our Ju87s dropped -- literally on pullout from the dives we died en masse.

Sank the ships, though!

Just wish the escort had been larger, the defenders smaller, or something. Spits vs ju87s... blech.

That would be the 412th. But don't feel too bad, we only had 8 pilots on last night.  :salute to JV44 and Swampdragons. You guys did get over 92% of our base.

WOW, those two C205's really got a butt load of kills? Those Bf109G-2's were dogs up there at 20K with gondies. But excuses are excuses :headscratch: The camaraderie was pretty cool, but we really thought we made a difference. We were sure we got them far enough away from the bombers, but it was the return trip that we couldn't help ya. It was still alot of fun :aok

Hardly 3 + Squadrons sir, 10 + 4 Seafires but yes, JU87s against Seafires, the outcome is predictable, the fact that you made it in to sink our carrier, lets just say that I don't think Churchill is impressed  :noid

Do not forget the 109s.  I counted at least 10.

All I saw was a cluster of a dozen dots high to our 3, (1 squad) a cluster low already engaged (2 squad) and then as we tried to get past them we ran into a massive horde of seafires co-alt directly between us and the target.

Yes, because you can't see planes 3000 yards out in real life, eh? In this game they all just pop up spontaneously with no icons until they're right on ya.

Oh well, the outcome was never in doubt, just the tally. I personally recieved ship killed on the CV, so...

i was going to post something snotty spikes, but then i realised that would petty.  So I'm sorry that i had that cheap thought, and im sorry that we were top squad  ( again) top kills ( again) top objects destroyed ( again) and that people like to join a top squad.
If it helps we all felt really really bad for you...really! In fact one of the guys brought you up after mission and as a squad there was a collective "who?" and we all felt bad about that ( after we remembered who you were)
But once again...we're sorry spokes. Really.

Lol just a fun poke, no need to get your panties in a wad.

Why would my name be brought up anyway? If it's an attempt sarcasm which I suspect it was, I didn't even smirk.
