I've lived in most parts of the country and anywhere between Ballina and the Gold Coast is seriously the best spot.

No thank you Turkish, I'm sweet enough.

Good luck!

But be careful - any country that is capable of producing Farscape has to have a dark and disturbing side....

Heh!

Folks, you should keep in mind, though, that the only reason Britain started sending convicts to Australia is that they couldn't continue sending them to America after 1776.  ;)

Bored123 go visit first take a look around & see what your in to. Get a temporary work visa & try a job out in an area you like. Yes the pay will be more than most jobs in the USA & yes you will get more  work benefits than State side as well.

But don't commit to citizenship until your sure, you don't want to change your mind at a later date & have to go through the whole process of becoming a US citizen again.

As far as places to live there? There all tolerable some better than others just depends on what you like.

I thought that the US had a higher GNI per capita.

You can hold dual USA and Australian citizenship. A lot of folks have dual USA and whatever citizenship. Plus Australia does not make you give up US citizenship. However there is no need to become a citizen for a trial run.

It's a dream. You are young. I say go for it!

Also, thank you for your service.

I think you have to have a parent of Australian decent to qualify for dual citizenship. Unless something has changed my daughter has dual with Australia & USA.
