Worth it?

Hello, I'm a new to the forums but I played a little over 2 years ago and was wondering if it's worth getting back into? I see they released a few patches and added some cool content but was wondering how many people still play and if there are still plenty of dogfights to get into? I've gotten the "itch" to come back and play but wanted to know if it was worth it?

Oh dear the itch   looks like having other people justify the decision you've already made in your head to return makes you think your less addicted. And that returning was the result of some persuasive argument inflicted on you by others  

Just say hello my names "insert name here" and I'm addicted to aces high then have a cry about it and download the game

Tons of new eye candy lately, more updates to come, custom maps in the AVA *ducks the Grizz smite*, and good people to fight and kill.

Thanks for the quick replies you guys, my next question is besides the game is there anything else I need to download? I see like custom skins and sounds but like for the game is there like a new map pack or anything I need? And I have a decent computer I'm playing on so do I need to download the "high resolution" pack thing that's right below the main game download?

Custom sound packs and gunsights are worth downloading for sure.  

The high res texture pack is a huge plus too. How smooth the game runs on it will depend on how powerful your rig it though. I don't have that fancy of a computer and it runs just fine for me. I think most here do run it actually.

Yes it is worth it. Not much you can do and have so much fun for so little money.

You get out of the game exactly what you put into it.  "Worth" is totally subjective.

I would say that if you visit the Scenario Forum and check out the upcoming Battle Over Germany scenario, along with the other special events, then couple that with the people that fly those events and the main arenas, along with the WW1 planes, new and upcoming release of new planes, that one would have to try very hard to not find something "worth it" around here.

The game and the hires pack.  Maps are included.  Check the Custom Sounds and Skins forum for sound packs.  That's all you need.
