Can anyone answer why we don't have it yet? It was a very helpful plane to the russians and one of the top birds in the war.

yup bad enough as it is.   Didn't the Luftwaffe pilots leave the battle soon as they saw them? 

+1 for the Uber YAK!      Many FAers will remember it fondly and be like WTF?  AH has no yak-3  this game sucks!

infact, I have started working in 109s because waiting for the yak3 in a 9U makes no sense. . . and if it were introduced, I would live in it.

If I remember correctly the pilots were told not to engage them once they recognized them as a Yak-3 airframe.  Must have been scary as hell to have command telling you that you can't win against this plane.
