Thrustmaster Topgun Afterburner????
« on: February 21, 2001, 07:41:00 AM »
Anyone used or using this stick and throttle setup?
I have been wanting to get a set of rudder pedals for a long time, and being computer illiterate on these things, I figured it would be best if I went with all same brand products (joystick/throttle/pedals).
I read various posts about my old Logitech Wingman Extreme Digital 3D joystick not working well or being a pain in the bellybutton to set up with CH or Thrustmaster pedals, so I have just about decided to stay away from that trap.
I would love some input on the Topgun Afterburner combo, both pro and con.

PS--And if I get one, I will be selling the Logitech stick CHEAP!

Don't own afterburner, But do have Topgun rig
full set up, It's the last TM product I'll buy, and I've been a TM man for years, the Quality has gone to crap, Stick springs broke, had to replace within a week of purchase, Elite pedals? crap shoot My brother-in-law's work fine, mine were always pulling to the right, finally opened his and mine up and discovered that the pot on mine had been installed 180 degrees opposite of his, turned it around, no more pull.
I tried the feel of an Afterburner in the store the other day, overcooked pasta, no way would I try to use it. It's my opinion, but I not that demanding, but TM's products have fell off the top of the hill, and seem to be rolling to the bottom.
