spying
« on: January 02, 2011, 01:21:10 PM »
Why not restrict cross country communications and lock out country changes for 30 days to help ease the increase of "spying" that goes on in the late war arena. I am really getting tired of working together with a good group and having ourselves organized to make captures only to have it thwarted by obvious spying in the game. Those that cant get organized or play well have resorted to this type of action to derail another country's gains. I believe if a player changes contries he should not be able to change again for thirty days. Also, restrict cross country communication to help disrupt the guys that set up new 2 week accounts to spy with. This is a game and we have several talented people that enjoy the thrill of tactics and skill. Spying (another word for cheating) is not a respectable endeavor for any player to engage in and should be made harder to do. Another need to help prevent this is all players in a squad should not be allowed to change their country unless the squad as a whole changes. I know I was killed on a mission recently by a squad member that is normally rook, he was bishop that day and his squaddies were rook. Really need to address this issue.

This would fix the "balancing" system also! As most peeps who just want to fight the hoard would leave the game  :aok

Posting things on this board that have been posted a million times before rarely end up in a change.

The country change limit needs to be reduced, especially in the off hours arena.

To be fair, he's new to the forum. I do agree though. It would be nice to NOT see someone driving our carrier out into the middle of nowhere to go deep sea diving.  :old:

Just because the topic has been brought up before doesn't mean that a new spin on the subject can lead to a good change......Just like the light bulb. We already had them, why work on them still? New ideas = better things. ;)

Alas, my words will fall on deaf ears as this seems to be the troll forum. But I shall wear my suit of armor and swing the sword away until somebody's head gets cut off  :D

flame on

EDIT: And yeah yeah yeah "Just get higher ranking and take the carrier away from them"  - yeah well I'm sorry but what if I happen to have other things in my life other than completely filling my cockpit with Doritos and Mt. Dew bottles for 139043097430983274 hours. Call on another pilot to do it? They seem to not really care because they're too busy balling fur everywhere :P  :airplane:

There is a lot less spying going on than you think asleep1 (whats your in-game name?) What many think is spying is really just paying attention to the map and knowing the game. Goons are easily found because MOST people fly them in a strait line from their base to the target base. Fly along that line and "Tharrrr she blows!!!". The same goes for NOE attacks. Knowing the terrain makes it easy to pick which track I would take, so that is where I'd look.

Yes there is some spying going on by some people who thinks its important to win the war.... oops, sorry didn't mean you  :D

More myth than fact I am afraid. It happens though you may as well just accept it.
