It was an angry man firing at the school board because his wife was a teacher that got fired.  He missed with all of his rounds thankfully, but as seen in the video was shot by a security guard, at which point he turned the gun on himself.

Whoa!  Like I said, I can be proven wrong, and I have been!  Just one question, why was there no flash from the gun?

Contrary to video games, guns don't always have a muzzle flash.

It was probably a small caliber, IE: a .22

I don't know the specifics, but I don't think so. Could be, but could also just be the gasses expanding after the round is fired.
