The FIREWORK explanation holds No Water since in America we have a 4th of July and a new Year every year. Also, many States sell fire works legally and this has not happened before in such wide numbers or across the Continents and nearly the same time..

I Drew a line from the bird deaths in AK to the bird deaths 2 days later in LA and came up with nothing but whatever the problem was here in the US, it was headed south. Then i realized that meant nothing either..heheh
As for the moon, here is a time lapse ( near end) someone made while watching it all day in DEC. It's very similar to the one in Nov.. Lets see what happens to it in Jan.
There are many amateur telescopes that film the same events on the same day across the globe. one that struck me as strange was the three lights seen on the edge of the darkside of the moon that were caught. There are others where these lights are slightly to the left of the moon but these appeared to be on the moon.
