You are working to get better, but why? Just for your satisfaction, not for points. Now picture coming into an arena where you have to fly an inferior aircraft against superior aircraft flown by players much better than you. How long would you last? 3 good players can kill and keep down 10-15 poor players in weak planes. After an hour all you would learn is that no matter what you did they could and WOULD eat you for lunch! You would almost never get a kill, never mind ever landing one. You would forever be a "newbie" never advancing.
Did you actually know some folks dont care they just like flying. and Id fly a hurri1 at your 3 or 4 guys just for grins and giggles till they got real sad and started to vulch.
I have a friend of mine who will fly into a horrible fight just to get into it last 30sec and hell do this all day some folks are just hardheaded enough.
not every idea has to be shot so thoroughly full of holes you know.

Thanks vudu,

I believe that Fugitive will agree with you that sometimes the fun is in fighting from a disadvantage.

Also, I am not quite ready to do the math and research to see the actual numbers for the Axis Versus Allies Arena.  Lusche is much better at finding the exact sort of comparison that is less subject to bias.

I can only say that Fugitive's statement of what he percieves the AvA to be is maybe more of a representation of isolated incidences, rather than the norm.  Possibly, Fugitive entered the AvA at a time when another MA "resident" was the only other occupant.  I can say for sure, that by using the "All" Channel text buffer, I am able to find just about any kind of fight that one could imagine within SECONDS.  As a part of the development group, I can tell you that is one of the top objectives, when it comes to setups.

As far as how any one or group of players behave, they usually come around to acting reasonably social when peers from both sides inform them of their offenses.

Even, I found myself yelling on range, because it seemed that a friendly passed up the enemy on my 6 to attack the same guy that I had been attacking.  I soon apologized and realized that the guy simply did not see the guy behind me due to the challenge of the no enemy icons.  So, nobody is perfect, and I don't think HTC will ever find the perfect Arena to satisfy everyone.
