But we have binary wood I think................

Is it standard for a boxwood to stop a machine weighing a few tons?

Honestly Sir, I would think this is somewhat realistic.  Where do you think all that shrapnel is gonna go that is exploding right over your head?  I assure you it would cause the gun crew more than just cuts and bruises.

Any real-life tankers out there?

Is it standard practice to drive through trees?

Fire rounds through trees?

I get the "shoot the tree until it's gone" scenario, but either way rounds are hitting the tree.

wrongway

Not a Tanker, was just a line grunt, but have seen m113 apc's used to clear LZ's for resup or dustoff by knocking down trees.  No cannons on them , but they use the .50's to knock a bigger tree pretty well (I always found a few ft of det-cord wrapped around it to work too). And, m113's were pretty light so I would think a Panther or t34 could just bulldoze a pretty sizable tree over.  Now these were jungle trees, not a honking big oak or elm. Don't know how that would play out.

I dont GV much at all but I got in a tank last night drove for a bit and stopped dead when I ran into a hedge, while dealing with the hedge a sherman started shooting me and I'm dead before I get guns to bear. I just felt the whole episode was silly and will continue to stay out of GVs.
No thank you Turkish, I'm sweet enough.

what happens in-game if an enemy tank goes rolling onto an runway and plows through a plane? does the plane pretty much blow up? is any damage dont to the tank? or what?

Drove M113 and a M1 or two while in the Army and although the practice of running over trees and such was not commonplace, yes it can and is done. When I was stationed in Berlin, they had a competition between the US, British, and French tanks to see which could handle the combat engineers obstacles. You would be surprised what the M1 can do.  :O:salute

I am getting pretty sick of getting shot up by guns firing through bushes and buildings.  It is crap. Especially in some of the terrains which are heavily forrested where you must get close to even see the gun.  Please fix.

I'd personally prefer that the ground physics get redone.  Then indestructible bushes wouldn't be so much of a problem.

But since that seems unlikely to happen, +1 for better bushes.
Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?
Apparently I'm in the 20th FG 'Loco Busters', or so the legend goes.
