gotta hand it to the BBC

was watching BBC America because Top Gear was on, saw a commercial for tonight's World News, and so i decided to watch.

I think i've found a new news station. very unbiased, really does investigate subjects directly, finds the perspective of the story from a view you never thought of, I really do like it.

I probably will never watch FOX News again :aok

Funny, that's how I stumbled upon Top Gear years ago.  I was watching the BBC world news (or waiting for it to start, forget which) and then saw my first episode of Top Gear too.  I haven't watched Fox News in over 10 years, doesn't sound like they've changed or that I've missed anything since.

I just found this station when I switched to AT&T about 2 months ago, I have to say I watch it quite a bit now, I've started watching Top Gear, Dr.Who, Ramsey's Best Restaurant & Kitchen Nightmares, along with Star Trek TNG reruns, I've actually probably been watching it more then any other station atm.  Haven't checked out BBC World News yet.

The Queen rewards media for objectivity.  Here in the states, news used to be the only hours that TV was "allowed" to lose money.....  Nowadays, not as much so smoke & mirrors are more important than the actual story.

Yup, Americans may cringe at it, but there are definite advantages to state funded media.

I enjoy watching the BBC.  I found Top Gear this past month.  Loved it so much, I went out and bought Seasons 10, 11, 12, and 13 on DVD.  Much better than the American Top Gear.
