I suggested FW to Ink so he could air his thoughts and opinions without fear of being muted or banned and everyone here just starts slinging mud, who's being juvenile?
No thank you Turkish, I'm sweet enough.

Hence why there is a flamewarriors

Exactly.

For the record, FW was started for the sole reason that Nuke felt it would be fun to have a BBS where anyone could discuss anything.

There was no spite, no problem with the rules here on the AH BBS. If you actually think about it, you'll realize that Nuke started FW because he respected HTCs authority to run this forum any way they chose.

As for the type of person that posts at FW, well, it is open to anyone. Only one person ever got banned (and he's probably back under a new handle) and that was because he actively attempted to track people down and cause trouble in their real life real lives. Other than that, no one gets banned. There was quite a discussion on the board about doing that but in the end essentially everyone agreed he needed to go.

So, you will find a cross section of the real world; all types, the good, the bad and the ugly. If that does not appeal to you, that's fine.

I'm there because, as is their prerogative, HTC banned any sort of political commentary, discussion or comments. I happen to enjoy the political give and take and I'm able to look past those posters that can't make a point or can't make a point without vulgarity. There are other posters that make it worthwhile to me. So, I just went to FW; I have no hard feelings towards HTC at all. I drop in here now and again.

Oh, about the Moderators Suck Forum. We generally create a forum if it is asked for by enough folks or if there's so much discussion that one subject tends to overwhelm the General Forum. There is a Skuzzy thread in that Forum. It's generally the place where folks that get spanked by Skuzzy go to shed their tears over the injustice of it all. In almost every case those folks have their noses rubbed into the fact that 1) HTC has a right to run this AHBBS as they choose and 2) if you get spanked it's because you are probably too stupid to follow the simple rules. There are a few guys with serious hard-ons for the moderation here and they are vocal about it; we don't moderate them or anyone else. There are plenty of folks that understand and respect the rules here and Skuzzy's enforcement of the same; they're vocal too.

So, there is no BBS competition. Participate in one, the other, both or none. It's your call, as it should be.

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

Excellent post Toad.   THIS is what/why FW came into existance.   Unfortuneately, some have to bring things from one Board and bring it to the other.    Quite "high school" if you ask me.   Keep the two BBS's seperate, as that was the intent when Nuke created a place where folks would not encroach on HTC's "then new political, religious rule enforcement".

I didn't bother reading through all of this.  If I want to hear people repeat what I've already heard I'll watch a recording of what I previously watched.  In other words there are few origional Ideas and alot of people that just want to sound smart.  Look at Youtube.  Everybody wants to post a video on Youtube of them doing the exact same thing that they learned how to do on you tube.  Whats the point?
They call it "common sense", then why is it so uncommon?
