It's not hard to kill them, it just takes really long when they are at 20K+.
Not when you are hovering at 40k saving gas.

I get a kick out of the A> "Fear of Change" crowd.  God forbid if you'd have to adjust your game play a wee bit because the Lancs and their 14k bomb load was not available; and B> "Bombers are so easy to kill" crowd.

What you really mean is you dont know how to really play the game the way it is and you want it modified to suit your style. If you dont have the patience to fight bombers in their element then you shouldnt insist that bombers be neutered to suit your anxiety level (lacking patience as you do).

Bronks point is just to show his lack of cleverness as well. 40k flights are for noobs in 152s. If you see a bomber at even 30k he is probably empty. You should know this because every bomber in the game hits service ceiling at 27k or less. If SmokinLoon doesnt have the patience to climb to 20k then very very few bomber pilots have the patience to deal with 150 ft/min for any time at all. That means any bomber hitting hangars is going to be 14k on average (some a LOT lower) and 20k at most (due to bomb spread).

There is a completely different level to this game other than furballing and climbing twenty seconds to a fight where you can pick your way to having your names in light. Im sorry to see you have decided to remain at level one. When you gain the patience to really play AH let us know.

i see your 5 elites and raise you 6 prophets.

and yes i do have the patients to climb to 25k and bomb but most of the time in at between 17 k and 20 k alt. but once the B-29 is in i think we'll see 152s up more offten then you think.

You missed my point completely, Sherlock.  I can shoot bombers down with ease, that isn't a problem for most anyone and that wasn't what I was commenting on.  I made no reference to them being "too powerful defensively".  I have no issues with having the ability or patience when intercepting or chasing bombers and having success.  My point is that for the amount of destruction heavy bombers are able to cause they sure are cheap and they are taken for granted.  Please read carefully what someone contributes prior to letting your tongue slobber and slur words forth.

For the average bomber sortie, how many fighter sorties could you fit in?  ENY is rapidly changing,  fighter sorties are relatively short, meaning it can have an impact on fighters in a very short time.  Any effect of ENY on bombers wouldn't be seen for 30-60 minutes.

Second, how many other options do fighter pilots have when ENY kicks in vs. bomber options?

I did read carefully. I completely disagree. It is obvious you wish the style you enjoy to have greater preference in the game. Sorry but it is what it is. Everyone has the same choices in aircraft. If you dont like bombers in the area then you need to pork more fields. Since you dont want to pork fields you prefer to whine on the wishlist and insult people about their reading abilities. You really do not have a valid argument in either topic (bombers or reading ability).

I think you are just lazy and dont want to try harder.  :D

I would disagree, most of the time I see heavy fighters moving the map, not bombers. A few nights ago during Titanic Tuesday the Knits lost 25 bases in the span of 3 hours. Most of the bases were taken with heavy fighter NOE raids, as only a couple of missions had bombers in them. Also, once the ENY does kick in you start to lose a lot of your heavy JABO fighters which leaves only bombers with the ability to do heavy damage to fields. Now I understand where you're coming from, however, I've played nights when my side was in the bucket being crushed by both sides AND we had ENY. Even though we had numbers how could we "break out" if all of our bombers are grounded?

I like this idea, makes sense.  Would keep the teams with higher numbers from rolling through bases.

No it wont. ENY takes care of that already. The OP is really asking for an ENY on bombs which is ridiculous.
