COD Modern Warfare 2
« on: January 25, 2011, 07:06:14 AM »
Who else here plays it on the PS3? If your like me, there has been an overly increasing number of hackers on it lately. Ususally if I see something fishy or the Rust map loads, I exit the game before things start. Almost didnt make it last time. Found a map I thought was normal and ended up getting hacked. All my perks, attachments, and challenges were all deleted. That and the custom loadouts were messed up totally. Its things like that that make me want to give the game up if everything you work for gets taken away by some 10 yr old kid thats suks too bad to play normally

I don't get why game hacking isn't being taken more seriously. It's denial of service, cyber terrorism and causes monetary losses to the developers.

Well since the PS3 root key was shouted all over the net the hacking is going to get even worse.  It also seems like Activision is probably going to use this as an excuse not to fix the problems on MW, WAW, or MW2.  Of course their isn't any surprise there.

MW2 has gotten awful.  One of my brother's friends got him hacked, and now he can use all the hacks he wants.  I tried to tell him how ghey it was and that it was cheating.  The typical teenage response, "No it's not.  It's fun.

I haven't played MW2 since Black Ops came out.  And I've seen some fishy stuff on there, too.  That's why I went back to playing games offline like Madden.

I love MoH and yes the gun choices get old but I don't play it for the guns or killing people. I play MoH to show a bunch of losers that I can get a group of strangers to work together and beat the $#![ out of a clan. (I play on PC).

Hackers are just people who fail at life so they stick to gaming 24/7 but suck at that as well, and instead of doing the world a favor by blowing their brains out they hack to make it SEEM like they've got SOME kind of minor reflex/reaction ability. Then they yell "NOOB" and "PWND" and then I retort with "No, you're program is the only thing with any 'skill', you didn't do anything other than click a mouse...oh and by the way...isn't my score higher than yours??" and they normally leave after that.
Like, ya know, when that thing that makes you move, it has pistons and things, When your thingamajigy is providing power, you do not hear other peoples thingamajig when they are providing power.

modern warfare two got boring for me a month after it came out, i loved the 1v1 of it, but in a room its just run&gun, or camp to get kills. no real strategy to it.(only real strategy i see in any cod game is where the snipers decide to put there claymores) got to lvl 60 online in mw2 before i got tired of the noobtubing and went back to bad company 1.
bad company one was an amazing online game. HUGE maps aloud you to choose a route to your destination and determine what angle you wanted to attack.unlike cod with its small cramped corner maps.
and also, bad company didnt take itself so serious, which made it a FUN game. i still remember some epic battles on there from over a year ago.

battlefield 1943, tho only 4 maps and 3 classes, is HUGELY addicting. and i must say wake island is the best map ever in a fps. (so well balanced) 1943 was a much better game than cod:w@w plus it was only $15, which made it an instant buy. it has gotten pretty buggy tho.

then you have bad company 2.DICE's answer to mw2. and i must say the new online blew mw2 away.wether parachuting into port valdez to invade alaska, or fighting in the desert of south america to keep a strategic port, bad company 2 is true online warfare.plus they just came out with the vietnam expansion for bad company 2, ever since i bought it i havent even looked at black ops.

in short, battlefield produces the best online warfare. i doubt cod will ever be able to match the feriosity that battlefield brings to the table.

theres a saying that goes around...

"cod-fanboys love it, real gamers hate it"

I agree. I think Battlefield 1943 is pretty fun. I don't play it much though because like you said, it only has 4 maps and 3 classes. It kinda gets boring quick if i keep playing the same maps over and over.

I have Battlefield Bad Company 2 as well and that is an addicting game. I can't wait to get the Vietnam add-on (brother's friend has my game). I love sniping. The bullet drop is so different compared to other games. You don't just aim right at someone who is a mile away, you have to aim above their heads. The only thing I find annoying are the boundaries around the map. Some of the boundaries are too close to the actual map. Like if I see a rock or a cliff I want to hide behind that is right there on the other side of the road, I end up getting that death warning "return to the battle field" message.

My PS3 is AH_Meatwad

do have MoH (I think), or whatever the one was that was bundled with the PS3 before christmas. Its still sealed, havent touched it.

Anyone from here that sends me a request, put it in the message that you are from AH otherwise it gets ignored. Paranoia makes me very nervous about strange requests

MOH single player was amazing, but the mp flopped. i was rly disapointed, i heard DICE was doing there mp and i was like "sweet!" but then i played it and it was even worse than cod's online.
