looks like a 3

EDIT: Zoomed in, it's a 3 :)
Looks like 5 to me.

Even when zoomed in I think it's a 5.  What makes it look like a 3 is the writer might have drug the pen when transitioning from the 4 (and the way the 4 is written, it makes sense).

IAS up to 400 Km/h and then switches to TAS above 400km/h, if I'm not mistaken.

If you can make it show TAS instead of IAS why not make the whole thing show TAS?
Perhaps after 400 it shows EAS? But I don't think the technology to show it existed at the time.

IAS- indicated air speed?  TAS--True air speed? :uhoh
okay...so the two of us are asking...what the heck it that?

IAS - Indicated Airspeed: Airspeed that is shown on your airspeed indicator.
CAS - Calibrated Airspeed: IAS corrected for instrument error.
TAS - True Airspeed: Speed at which your aircraft moves though the air.
EAS - Equivalent Airspeed: At high speeds & altitudes IAS & CAS read incorrectly due to compression. EAS shows the airspeed as it would be at sea level.
GS - Ground Speed: Speed at which your aircraft moves over the ground.
Mach: Your speed in relation to the speed of sound at the given altitude & pressure.

Hope this helps.

From what I have read, this is how the 262 gauge was.   Am I saying I'm 100% right?   Nope.   But am I saying that it is what I have read on it?   Yep.     :bhead

It's a 3

I followed the pixels with dots so you can see the outline. When zoomed in you can tell by the pixels where it's going. :)
Like, ya know, when that thing that makes you move, it has pistons and things, When your thingamajigy is providing power, you do not hear other peoples thingamajig when they are providing power.

Come on guys, this is an AH aviation forum, where is your knowledge of history?

Of course it says 1945.
The allies were swarming over Germany.

D'day wasnt until 1944 and you all know it.

"The Me-262-V1 was finally fitted with a pair of BMW-003 turbojets, each with 5.40 kN (550 kgp / 1,200 lbf) thrust, in November 1941. The Jumo 210G piston engine was retained, which was fortunate, since the turbojet engines were hopelessly unreliable. On 25 March 1942, Messerschmitt test pilot Fritz Wendel took off and suffered immediate failures of both turbojets. He managed to make a go-round on the piston engine and land, damaging the aircraft but suffering no injury himself. "
