It's not only about Europe. I'd guess the majority of off-hours players is still from America. Squeakers, students, retirees, lazy guys without a job and so on. It's just affecting us Euro guys more as we hardly have the chance to play at US primetime unless staying awake to 3 am.

Our choice of Flying in the 2 LW Arena's is limited to 9 hours 2PM to 11pm PST,   LWOH is open the rest of the time or 15 hours, seems to me but the 2 LW Mains should be open longer in either direction

I like the smaller maps in the off hours. They are perfect for the action.

It's not that the map is too small. it's that the map is designed with major chokepoints that is inefficient to map winning. same thing happens on trinity if the countries havent been pushed back. some maps have bad chokepoints...

You all know the dreaded uterus A1 battle correct? ;)

Size of the map is fine. Its the chokepoints that create extra large battles (which still for 3AM EST is good for fights but once it's nearing changeover it's acting like a mini TT)

also in the SE corner V65 has GV spawns out, yet v62 on the other side of the map has both IN and OUT spawns.

This makes it very easy for the northern country to keep hold of its captured territory from the southern team.

Also the battle for A1 is not repeated on the other side of the map because the nearest field is miles away and at altitude.  Infact I believe the southern team have no single altitude base to speak of.

I was hoping Bish would have reset last night as they needed 2 more knight fields for the win however they have to then take a VBase with 2 uncapturable fields protecting it and take the island base in the middle which is very difficult.

They had 18 (Center Island) at one point. A1 is a constant furball which is what many enjoy.

uterus certainly needs a Version 2 to equilibrate the spawn/fields, in 10 years of AH I've always seen the south country loose.

I can see how having 300 people right on top of each other might be a problem... but try to appreciate what it is like for the off-peakers...

Chasing flashes dar bar hoping to find a fight, only to find a single low con.

Finally finding what looks like a fight, taking off and getting there only to find it fizzling out or gone completely by the time you get there...

One of the reasons I quit AH was that, given my schedule and responsibilities at the time, when I had the chance to log on for an hour and have quick go I'd spend the entire time looking for fights.

It may just be unfortunate for me that my regular playing time coincides with the absolute worst time of day to play AH.... but that off peak arena really helps people like me get a fight.

Forcing all 150 people into one arena is the only way to handle total player numbers less than 200.

Long live the off peak arena!

Sometimes the logic in here is just astounding.

Big map small map the fights are where you start it. I can go to any map where there are peole on and go to any base and someone will almost always show up
to fight. fights are what you make them and where you start them. To many people now want Atri, Xbox instant style of playing.

Almost = often does not. And more often than not, it's maybe one single guy.

There is not much fun of having to do nothing but chasing single dots across the map. The perfect situation would be a large map with enough players to create several distinctly different battles, yet having enough room for some low key action if desired.
A large map with 50 players is as horrible as a small map with 500.
