fly it at 35-40k and about your gunner postition well  practice it. it takes time to get used to it.

B-29 can't fly between 35,000ft and 40,000ft.  if you're going to give advice, please make sure it's correct.

I know it it better to get to 35 K ...like I said there wasn't time. The gunner views in the B-29 have a poorer view than other buffs in the game...and yes I'll have to get used to it...........

My B-29 had no problems getting to 35k. And that doesn't surprise me, as it's totally in line with the data on the RL charts you posted a few months ago.

the problem you will have especialy if your used to flying B-17s and 24s, is it has no downward fireing positions. yes you can shoot down. but not directly downward. so you will be vulnerable to a belly strafe.

let this be a Top Tip. if your new to the game or if you dont know if the B-29s gunners is very good. come in from below and saw at it from the belly.

The perks I got for shooting down ONE B29 in a 190A8 with A2A rockets, from a dead 6, getting fired upon, living to tell the story, running home due to fuel only to get chased by a 109, run out of gas, come across a friendly town at 44, 109 takes a flak hit to his oil, friendlies swoop in to save the day and me coast in on my wheels on the runway:D

Dont want to mention any names but that you cant get above 40k theory just got shot out the window.

Question for you....you mentioned that you cant drop the gear at the last second like in a B17.....  What would be the parameters to drop the gear to ensure that your formation drones land on the runway?
