Quick USB Question

I have a USB hub that can be powered but didn't come with a Power cord, so I don't use one.  I have 2 Steering Wheels plugged into it (G27, Force Pro, both powered on their own), Keyboard (Logitech Wave), and my Phone Charger (rarely used), but occasionally I get a strange issue.  My Wheels will randomly re-calibrate themselves when nothing has happened power/software/hardware wise, and I was wondering if it could be due to having too much on the Hub without power, or just plain out too much on the hub?

When you say both wheels are powered on their own. Do you mean that they have their own separate power cord that plugs into an outlet?  If not then it could very well be that you are exceeding the limits of the usb port your hub is plugged into. Do you have any other items on that usb buss it's possible even if the wheels are powered that you are on occasion exceeding the power limits

Its possible your exceeding the power limitations, could also be the power management on your computer is shutting down the usb ports as they are not being used. You can check this under device manager, select a hub, properties and go into power management.

You should see 2 check boxes, one for allow computer to turn this hub off, and allow this hub to wake the computer.

They have their own Power Cords plugged into the Power Strip/Outlet.  I have the Hub plugged into 1 USB and my mouse is in another USB plug, nothing else is plugged into computer via USB.
Looking at the back of the computer it would look like:
  ---   ---
|  1  || 2  |
  ---   ---
|  3  || 4  |
  ---   ---

USB Hub in 3, Mouse in 4.

Thanks for the reminder, I thought I had checked that, must have been on the laptop. :)
