I had the same problem with the windows key. Then i downloaded a program called "Ihatethiskey". Problem solved 

For Win 7 you have to buy Version 5.0 trial 7 days But when I download the version 5.0 My Virusscanner stops download

Btw i have this joystick and it is amazing. Ive been thinking about putting one of thoose over my windows key though i just dont know how i would do it

Jeepus, I"ve told you the fix for win7 to stop that windows key interfering with play. For the power button, you can do exactly the same thing by going into your power settings and changing that particular key too.

Just pry the annoying key out with a screw driver or something similar. I've done it on all my keyboards for the last ten years. Most keys snap in and out.

The funniest thing is I still find those old keys even after the keyboard it came from has been thrown out years before. Dang I hate those old keys even more.

I ripped mine out
