Grizz you are making an ellegant but very mentaly complicated construct based on cohersing players by appealing to their greed. Then you are attempting to support the cohersion with very lofty goals. Who is the audience you are presenting your social engineering document to for peer perusal? Can you reduce it to a level the general herd you want to manipulate will be willing to pay attention to long enough to read and make an informed decision in response?

Your presentation reads like it's targeting a single kindred professional to sell building a new foot bridge over a river while skipping the taxpayer adnausium emotional open forum reviews. After all they don't really know what they want or need do they?

So now we will no longer look at earning perk points as a lofty goal and accomplishment but, rather use them like bread to  mollify the crowds while luring them to the circuses. In this case the special down front in the sand seats, standing and dieing room only. Caesar would be tickled.....

 :lol
I guess you could call it trying to "lure" players to the other arena.  I would call it an incentive/bonus.  I am directly/indirectly appealing to the entire AH population with this proposition.  I am directly appealing to those players that wish to earn bonus perks by taking initiative and starting fights in the blue arena.  I am indirectly appealing to players that are looking for fights in Aces High and got the short end of the stick by logging on at the cap transition time.  With this system, the confidence level that there would be fights and players coming over would be very high, and as result, people would take off and fight.  It's almost like solving the paradox of Aces high.  "I don't want to fly there because no one is flying there.".  All of a sudden it becomes. "People will be flying here therefore I will fly here".  (Regardless of if you are in it for the perks or the fights, both conditions will be met since there are plenty of players that will be in it for the perks.

The perks are just the incentive to kick the snowball down the hill.

Did I make a believer out of you Bustr?   :D

It's "bustr"....... ;)

Grizz when you express yourself in the previous manner your ultimate goal of increasing everyones fun in the game shines through and is engaging. I don't see you as particularly being attracted to the rigors required to be a lightning rod of positive good will to lead players by example and demenor. Much like current american popular culture though, our current social problems in game are a reflection of our devolution. People need heros not self serving aholes to follow if you want anything resembling a positive response to a personal example. If you could only change human conduct without having to let them touch you and talk to you. Become a man of the people...eeewwwww. They should just be smart enough to see reality shoudn't they....

One would think you would reach a point that you can harvest just so many baby seals and insult them with how stupid they are before either that which drives you towords your excellence causes you to reach one of three finite portals. Leave the game in bordom. Devolve into an ego junky addicted to abusing other paying customers with their hands tied behind their backs. Or using your obvious talents to inspire as many of the player base to follow your example. But then the shane method does place the club in the worthy hand now dosen't it Grizz....

This idea has merit and should be explored in more depth. There may be other ways to motivate balanced arenas than just perks, but perks is the place the start.

You were doing fine until you insulted both of our collective intellgence with this inane crap.

You dont want to get your hands dirty with the lesser beings who you have begrudgingly admitted are necessary to making this cluster luge work in their own inadequet manners. But, you are willing to insult them by treating them like dirt offering them a bribe to play by your idea of social engineering. I just simplified the language so the the reading impared could make an informed choice rather than be over whelmed by your engineering style and brillience. Obama got ellected by dassling the uninformed masses with his brillience and command of lieing to them about his concern for thier needs.

For this you are finaly as honest as Moot is in your disdane for them. That being the case, stick to graduate course bridge building projects and let Hitech do the professional wetware engineering. At least he needs and appreciates all of them as equal valued customers using his services. I will venture if you could, like Moot, you would eliminate them from AH in a heart beat if it was possible without killing the game.

Like many engineers I've known over the years. You don't take kindly to your work being critisied. Looks like your epiphiny about the player base in the game from last year was an interim dalliance with the commoners. But, it was a good strategy to soften your image and win hearts and minds before you dropped your master work on them. I think the image of you slaying baby seals enmass with your teeth and bare hands while laughing at their bleeding crys of panic is more true. Shane esque to the end.........after all a leopards spots are skin deep from birth and cannot be changed.

You should have counseled your sycophantic Renfields to play along better with you. They never got into a convincing mode with your epiphinal character. They don't have your patience.

I think you're insulting most of the player base by assuming they're too dumb to fully understand Grizz's proposal and motives, which you're again reading too much into, it's just an idea thrown out to more quickly populate the newer arena.  Sounds like you've got a grudge against grad students...

I honestly had no clue what you were talking about.  Neither did anybody else.

My jaw dropped after reading this.

So, in other words, -1?

You've taken a lot of effort to personally insult me in this thread (Not sure why), but you have yet to comment on why my idea is good/bad.  I have an idea where this hostility spurs from and it has nothing to do with this topic.
