lol everytime i see GV out in gods country i will move it into play, for crists sakes its a game, two days ago i played moving the CV group game with someone determined on hiding it to the top left corner of the Pizza map, 5 times he kept moving it back so i would advance it to where we needed it, he kept telling me how important it was to keep it hidden incase we lose the port,     Pfft  Arm Chair Generals

They should just make CVs static like they were in AW or have them cruise on predetermined routes and remove the ability to take command of the CVs.

Solves the problem of the basement dwelling arm chair admirals from hiding the CV and tools switch countries to take control to sink it.

I was thinking the same, but I didn't post because I figured it would make it even easier to sink a CV since they will be on preset routes and not be able to make defensive maneuvers.  What that would require is heavy defense (which could either mean one heck of a fight, or an easily sunk CV)

It is a definite asset to be able to position the CVs.  It is an unfortunate consequence that some people feel the need to hide them to "protect" them.

Not sure if there is much that can be done though.  Making them follow predetermined paths definitely rids us of the
self-righteous strategic hiders but doing so takes away a very nice player controlable feature to the game.

Someone ought to be able to think up some compromise?

How about letting the map makers put in special "no swim" zones.  It would look goofy to fill in every bit of water in conflict be land so maybe that would work?  Maybe have the map show an X through those zones.  It doesn't affect me either way, just throwing ideas out there.  Sorry if it has been suggested hard to read lots on this phone. :)

<S>

My apologies for any member of my Squad that has acted inapropriately. We try to run our squad with honor and a sense of fair play. We do not endorse cheating, sided swithching or any behavior unbecoming in the MA or any other arena.

This is being dealt with internally, and appropriate measures will be taken if any member is found to be going "rogue" or playing by his own rules.
This will not happen again.

Again I am sorry.

I figure from this post on I'll just bomb a friendly CV on the corner of the map.
No use in hiding it, no use in waiting for the armchair general to log.

Or just have your whole squad up from it (running a TMB mission of course), as the other countries say "what the hell is that dar bar over there" and go to investigate...
