Isn't that htc's responsibility?   :headscratch:
not entirely...that's why the terrain editor exists and why there is a terrain team...as well as individuals submitting terrains...you want maps or planes?

So you're saying that if there was a plane editor and plane team they would absolve responsibility of making planes too?  That's basically what you're saying with this post.

Yes, I understand that it is a resources issue Captain Obvious, but ultimately, it's their responsibility, not the players'.

would this be a good time to mention that we have awesome maps in the AvA? some that you've never seen unless you've flown there?

I had to laugh this morning when rooks reset baltic for uterus   *facepalm.

If there was ever a map that needed re-designing this is it.

All the "old" small maps need a redo.

Minindoodoo still needs an island in the SW ocean

The big map with the 20K mountains needs a facelift as well. with more passes to fly through. That map often just stagnates for days

ya know johnny genius...if you want to pound brass tacks...htc's responsibility's responsibility is fulfilled with a single map, regardless of who likes it. the fact that the company has provided a means for players to create maps is a bonus that isn't necessary.

Yeah, and I wonder how many customers they would have with a setup like that.  Brilliant.

With all the maps about, I kinda figure it's not at this point.   As near as I can tell, someone is going to hate the map regardless of which one it is.  Since there is a route for players to introduce maps, it would seem a better way to approach it then just 'get rid of it'.

And considering the latest thread with all the stats, ideas and lack therof, I'm hard pressed a 'petition' to remove a map has much validity :)

Come on Grizz, you are an old Airwarrior pilot.  Did it ever stop you from coming back the next day when it was just one map?  The route between B83 and C83 was well worn, but the fights continued and because we didn't even think about the idea of other maps, we seemed quite content with it:)
