One would think you would reach a point that you can harvest just so many baby seals and insult them with how stupid they are before either that which drives you towords your excellence causes you to reach one of three finite portals. Leave the game in bordom. Devolve into an ego junky addicted to abusing other paying customers with their hands tied behind their backs. Or using your obvious talents to inspire as many of the player base to follow your example.

I think he's so awesome he can go through all three of those portals at the same time and each portal sees a whole Grizz rather than a third of Grizz.  A revelation has broken upon me...

It's "bustr"....... ;)

Grizz when you express yourself in the previous manner your ultimate goal of increasing everyones fun in the game shines through and is engaging. I don't see you as particularly being attracted to the rigors required to be a lightning rod of positive good will to lead players by example and demenor. Much like current american popular culture though, our current social problems in game are a reflection of our devolution. People need heros not self serving aholes to follow if you want anything resembling a positive response to a personal example. If you could only change human conduct without having to let them touch you and talk to you. Become a man of the people...eeewwwww. They should just be smart enough to see reality shoudn't they....

Sounds like you've got a grudge against grad students...

Wow...  Just wow...

I honestly don't think Grizz' idea will accomplish the goal like he thinks it will.  I really think Grizz is overestimating the motivation that perks can provide in their current form..

All that aside...

Bustr, I think you need some counseling buddy.  Or at least a really good spell checker.  If a post can have "crazy eyes", yours does.

If 80% of the population agree does not care but 20% do that's enough to make quite a significant difference.  I also wonder if the bbs crowd is is not a very good cross section of the actual aces high population.  I would imagine a much higher percentage of players who do not visit these boards may be much more interested in such a thing rather than vets who do not care.

Why not just have a big map for peak times and a smaller map for off hours and stop having blue/orange?
If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

What I am saying is the side that has these like minded players that enjoy only the base taking aspect of the game and tend to congregate (which can be an entire side at times with only a handful that might not participate AND outnumber the each other team) thus creating this massive base taking horde.
So yes, as of now with an arena with 200, you can end up with 80,60,60.  Keep in mind I am not referring to "local" horde, I am referring to a side.

This is why they could care less about "perk building" since it has become all about winning the warz with these extra players and the side they are attacking with "all or none" (having already the element of suprise, radar glitches, extra players) can horde upon a base with that much force.
All they would need to do is change their fighter mode to attack mode and do the same thing they are doing now but getting more perks for it(killing hangers, town, deacking etc.). Offering them something else to do like earn perks will probably "bring more of the same" that they do now, (ie dive in from 20k just to kill radar/ords then auger, or die, everything but fight) except they just get paid more for it and probably encourage more hoarding.

If Hitech implements some sort of a side balancing idea as he has discussed that would equal out the sides a bit, your idea would then have some chance and probably would work out and not be taken advantage of by a hording side, but until then I would say no.

Once something is in place that would even the sides out a bit, I would probably agree with you to a point, with some other stipulations about actually landing to count more heavily in that calculation of earning points.

The rookettes and nitwits see more than 1 bish con they go  :O the bish horde is here :rofl
