Move stuff in my cage; I get nervous.

For me, as 'ol ScrewU pointed out (love that handle; btw) it was a critical part of SA, and since this change a big piece of my SA seemed to go out the window with the new reporting system.. I fly the sim on almost all levels.. I buff; I defend fields; I attack fields; the whole bit. Keeping up with the flow of the battle is done by reading and interpeting the kill data in the system buffer.

Now, I'm not sure what in hells going on up there in front as I get closer to the war.. (I don't have RW; and like more than a few pilots; have no intent to get it) all I see is the victors name.. not the vanquised. Somebody get our cap buff? Is our c47 still safe? Dammo.. it that low alt stike we sent in under attack?

Is this change to quell text buffer abuse? Hmmmmmmm.. while annoying at times; I've never considered the text box insults a detriment to SA.. but this loss of system info is. Nope.. not a good trade.. not at all. You wanna stop text buffer insults this way? Instead of a boot? Gimmie the boot.

Seems to me that we oughta be able to see who died.. after all, in combat; you'd not know the identity of WHO killed your wingie; but you'd sure know he's dead. Here it's exactly the opposite. This ain't 'fog of war'.. it's just 1/2 the info we used to have. I'm not charmed with the loss of data.

And frankly; if somebody tears me a new one; he deserves more credit than just a nameless victory message. Dontcha think?

I think at one point HTC planned on implementing a system where you could land at a paved field, then taxi over to the hangar for re-fuel and re-arm and that would also keep your streak alive.

It would not fix damage however..for that you would need a new plane.

I like the new system of showing kills too ... it'S as Popeye said .. it adds to the FOG of WAR ..
And at leats you know who you have been killed yb and the guy who shot ya know is too...

About the streaks.. Yea i'd like to keep my streak until i die .. Even thou some might think it makes you a target .. but i say the more famous guys in the arena (which i'm not) are targets aleady  they could use a li'll relief LOL

Regarding ditching.. Yea ditches on an airfield where you run off the runway should count as landed .. (every landing within the airbais boundaries...)

I don't agree with you, Hang. I like the cleaner air, the tempers seemed to have calmed some, and anyone shot down need only report they are dead to let you know your strike has failed.
