I have a list of rule changes, arena layouts, new planes, planes to be remodeled.  I expect to have them looked at as soon as possible.

If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

You must have at least 5000 signatures on a petition for this request to be considered.

They call it "common sense", then why is it so uncommon?

Funny (CYA post about sarcasm aside), but rarely, if ever, do I see a please or thank-you associated with most of the wishlist items.

The last I heard, Texas is one of the last bastions of civility and manners in this country.

A little humility and politeness can go a long way, sometimes.  A lot further than rude demands, baseless complaints/whines and sarcasm will.

He doesn't have to look at all your whining and sobbing and crying.
He doesn't have to supply this game with constant updates and changes.
He doesn't have to keep his servers up and running for you to play in.

He chooses to. Get over yourselves, it's pathetic.
Offer articulate, thought out suggestions. Stop with the "ARENA
CAPS SUCK!!1!" nonsense.

End of rant.

Joe,  No offense, but these kinds of post always make me scratch my head.

Why do you feel you need to speak for what HTC wants?

I'm confident in his ability to handle that himself.

I do not see anything in the OP stating that he knows what HT wants...   :headscratch:

He stated facts.

There is no law that states that HT has to concede to any of our wishes, update the game, or even host this forum (even for non-players), for free.

It may well be in his best interests to do so if they want to stay competitive and solvent, but in no way is it required.

But I forgot you are omnipotent....so i guess this will all stop. God i need some wine.

I love this game HTC...always have. Thank you for all the hard work that has gone into it. I get so much enjoyment out of it, it almost feels like stealing for only $15 a month. You'll have my money as long as I have it to give.

Von, you lost me. I think the point of the original post was to procede to explain HTC's position.  I was wondering why people do that?

Is it to engraciate themselves to Dale?
Is it because they think Dale can't get his own message out?
Is it because they are affraid all the harsh whining will cause Dale to pack it in one day in an act of exasperation?

Curious as to the reason, and offered that it was unnecessary.

Did I read that wrong? If so, my appologies.  :salute

He doesn't have to look at all your whining and sobbing and crying
yes he does. all that "whining and sobbing and crying" is what tells hitech what people do and dont want.

especially when you have people quiting the game over it. you might see it as "good riddance,n00bs". but to him it prob looks like a loss of $$$.

He doesn't have to supply this game with constant updates and changes
yes he does. if he wants to stay above his competition. you dont think IL2 is constanly releasing updates &chances?
AH is lacking alot of features&aircraft other games have, so if he wants to effectivly compete with them, he needs to keep "supplying this game with constant updates and changes"

He doesn't have to keep his servers up and running for you to play in.
yes he does, if he wants to earn $$$ for his creation. no one is going to pay to play a game with no online servers.

just my $0.02

btw, i love how you created a thread to whine about whining. kinda sticking your own foot in your mouth bud.

bolded.....how true this is.

i just kicked a guy out of my office this morning. why? because he came in, interrupted me as i was chatting with a customer......and demanded to know where an address was. i knew exactly where it was, and told him that "no, i don't know where anything you want is if you're going to interrupt and be rude like that.", and went to finish with my customer. he repeated himself....only louder.....so i told him no, and to get out of my office.

had he waited the 35 seconds it'd have taken me to finish chatting with my customer, he'd have been on his way, and to the place he was looking for in less than 5 minutes.

i don't like people like that........can't stand em.......

What people need to keep in mind is that changes to the game that seem so simple and desirable to the person wanting them can create other unforeseen issues with other players.

HTC has to strike the best balance and that is not an easy thing to do.

To relate my experience of what I thought would be the best way to go, when I first started this game, I was disappointed that the main focus of the game was not historical Axis vs Allies game play.

As time went on, I came to realize that the LW unrestricted plane arenas were necessary and that a strictly Axis V
Allies format would not have the largest appeal to the widest range of players.

I began to see that my best course of action was to get involved and try my best to help populate the AvA to a point that it would compliment rather than replace any other arena.

That it could be a change of pace for some and another option for those that enjoy the history aspect.

I am a big fan of AvA, and think it has an important place here, but now realize it needs to be another option and not the only one.

The balance and compromise that HTC has to implement cannot be everything for everyone, it just has to work best for most.
