Hi guys, and thanks for allowing me to join your board. I found you through our website statistics -
www.bugatti100p.comFor what it's worth, I'm the guy that has been tasked with reverse engineering the Bugatti gearbox and drive train, so it's my head that's on the block. I also administer the website, so it was nice to see your encouragment.
You will hopefully believe me when I say this baby will fly, and soon. You can view progress on the website which we update on a very regular basis. Currently the guys in Oklahoma are working on the wing, and over here in the UK I am in the final stages of the gearbox design at which point it will go off to Vocis for validation. After that, it's simply a case of producing the numerous drawings required for production and I will be able to move on to the rest of the drivetrain. We are confident the pilot will have nothing to fear from the driveshafts spinning around at 5500rpm just inches from his Gentlemen's equipment, we intend to encase them in sewage pipe!!
Hopefully you will be celebrating the first flight some time in the next couple of months and will be able to see the aircraft when she files at the EAA show in Oshkosh later in the year.
