Not insulting your intelligence here, but you are aware that being a "Dr." doesn't always mean a medical doctor.  Getting your doctorate (aka phD) means you have completed that level of education for your field.  So you can earn your doctorate in Education, or your doctorate in Psychology, etc. etc.

I take no offense i am not very smart :)

I did not know that you could be a non-medical doctor and still have a phd. Thhe might what you just said, but I know for a fact he isn't a medical doctor.  :eek:

What he probably did was go to undergraduate school (college) for four years to get his bachelors degree, then he went to graduate school (maybe at the same place as his undergrad, maybe somewhere else) to get his masters degree (1-2 years depending on the program), then continued to get his doctorate (might be called an EdD for some education, not sure how many more years this takes).  So he went through a lot of school to earn being a "Dr.".
