where there any pusher type combat aircraft during WW2 that would meet HTC's requirements?
doubt it...  :headscratch:

amazing thing about the op plane...used the same engine as the 109 but in spite of it's obvious heavier weight, it was faster than the 109-G6?   :headscratch:

There was a SAAB Drakken for sale on ebay a couple months ago caption was "Cruise at mach 2 in style"
"It was once believed that an infinite number of monkeys, typing on an infinite number of keyboards, would eventually reproduce the works of Shakespeare. However, with the advent of Internet messageboards we now know this is not the case."

Maybe after they converted it to the jet engines  :D  Built a model of this one back in 83 or so, that top speed appears
to be quite a bit higher than I remember.  The model also claimed that they had the first ejection egress system.

Nope.  The only pushers I can remember were the Curtiss Ascender which had cooling trouble and the Japanese
Shinden at the end of the war.  Bell made a twin pusher, but I don't think it was accepted for service.  Only 13 were
made and it only flew from 1937-40.

Less drag? High grade fuel (The swedes had the better fuel available, Germans didnt)? Just a theory..
