Maybe HTC could have a US aircraft exclusion. :D

BTW, should we also include the new GV frames? Sherman, Pather, Whirb, SDK, Jeep.

That's a bloody long list Fester.

I wouldn't complain if HTC focused mainly on bringing the older planes up to date. Even if it did mean I couldn't whizzbang around in my Meteor F Mk. 3 for a further 5 years.

Yeh, I stand corrected. Was thinking of fall of 2005 when the Spits and 109s were updated. Three since then really. Wrote about one occasion and thought about the other.

Anyway, four. Less than a fighter per year on average. Nothing wrong with it per se, I just hope that the choises are good when the rare occasion of getting a new fighter happens. :)

Maybe HTC could have a US aircraft exclusion for a couple votes. :D

That would be one way to do it, true. :D With good initial choises the polls would be really interesting. :)

Ignoring sub-models of existing "names" is a false argument. The P-47N is so radically different from the P-47Ds it replaces it's comparing apples to oranges.

The 109 G-14 is a major improvement over our G-6, but a major step below the 109K4. You can't say it's unnecessary or irrelevant.

The A6M3 has just been anounced. Would you say it was just another a6m2?

Or, to hit closer to home, would you say the B-339E (if added) is "just another Brewster"?

You can't just discount them because their are already "other" versions of that plane in-game. While some may be similar (P-38s, P-47N/M) many are totally different.

Going from memory on new fighter planes introduced since the B-24 when standards were upgraded:

F4U-1
F4U-1A
P-38J
P-39D
P-39Q
P-47N
P-47M
Mossie 6 (You could argue this! Totally different plane!)
Brewster
Bf109G-14
A6M3
Ki-84
I-16

So it's not as if they're IGNORING fighters, which one might read you have suggested.

P-38G was introduced the same time as the P-38J.

If it's me who you are trying to blah blah at...

Blah blah blah. How can what I say really be "a false argument" when I'm not really arguing about anything?

I said what I said. Take it as I said it and don't read anything more into it as it's best you don't try...for several reasons.

I'm well aware what has been added to this sim and when...don't really need the lecture.

You said blah blah blah, and I replied, you can't ignore the other contributions just because they have similar names.

AckAck: Substitute whatever the newer model P-38 was. I don't recall, thought the PJ was the new one, must be the L.

It's not as if the community just got to pick an aircraft at random, remember HTC picked the choices for the polls.  They didn't put a plane in the list they aren't willing to introduce to the game.  New planes are fun, but more and more I'd like them to focus on updating the cockpits.

I said "new air frames" and those are which happen to 'tickle my fancy'. That's all. As there's a big difference in my interest between variants and completely new air frames, there's also a big difference in the workload they require.

I'd like to see the 410 and A26.

Hopefully the 410 is already in development

We don't need just one random plane for the MA, we need planes that fill the planeset in for the countries that are lacking key elements IE Japan and Russia.
