The Flat Plate done by Richard Candelaria
« on: April 05, 2011, 11:11:22 PM »
Is possible :t

after months of learning the maneuver i have finally claimed my first flat plate kill. :t

SPIN in his 38 can attest to this :aok but im just in shock that i got that LUCKY pulling the maneuver off AND killing someone :bolt:

although i was in an La7 instead of my 51. but i know the 51 can pull the maneuver also (i've done it) but i dont think the 51 is maneuverable enough to pull off the kill... time to study up on that one :D

To the 80th and the 65th, GREAT fights over that base guys! you had us on edge the entire time :aok <S>

Video had rude and insulting comments. edited it out

Or just film every sortie and cancel at the end if you don't want to save it. :)

One of your squadmates tried that move on me last night.  I actually thought it was you until I shot him down.  It was pretty cool seeing his La7 spin like a top, but I saw it coming, so I slowed down to let it play out in front of me.

That was fun fighting between the two bases.   :aok

sorry i gotta see the film where u can do it in game. it must take pedals to accomplish. in the dogfight video it appears to happen way too fast. i used 1/4 tank d model various altitudes, various speeds, throttle settings, engine shutoff, rpm decrease. the 51 hangs like  a wounded cow. i cant get any rotation with that small a rudder. make a vid alt r and describe what you are doing in the cockpit during the manuver.
