yea....most of the time when i think, i generally either hurt myself, or get someone seriously pissed off at me.  :D

EDIT

i also didn't view it as the community "jumping" on you, and truly believe that had the positions been reversed, the exact opposite would have happened.

that isn't/wasn't the point of the op though.......i feel like an old guy........ :cry
Oy Cap. I seriously doubt that some female with no knowledge whatsoever would argue with you had our positions been reversed. Favoritism is not uncommon on AH forum. End of hijack.

why would you only get paid 3.4 for a job that calls for 7.3 hours?

the ford dpfe sensors? 99% of the time, if you've got a code p0401, you've got a bad dpfe sensor. can you say moisture?

and yes, there are some toughies out there.........i am suspecting you've missed the point i was making though.......

Mitchell and factory warranty times are not the same.

i used motor. i'll look it up soonz i finish this timing belt.

i friggin LOVE the old escort timing belts. new belt, water pump, belt tensioner, and only an hours work.

calls for 26.4 hours. and this is one of the biggest differences between warranty and normal time i've seen......19.7 waranty time. it notes that that time includes r&r of the cylinder heads.

can you not do it on the car like we can others?

We get paid 6 hours.......but we don't remove the cylinder heads.

Technical instructions for the v6.

Warranty sucks..........but we had some guy actually turn 468 hours in a month doing nothing but these recalls on the V8s which pay 12 hours.

so motor's warranty time listed is off? by that much?  i didn't think you guys were pulling the heads off.......most times it's too easy to get them simply by putting air pressure in the cylinder.
that being said....i friggin HATE flat rate, and will not work for flat rate again if i can help it. i also will never pay a tech flat rate either, unless he seems to be taking advantage fo me, and/or sandbagging jobs.

Changing the lexus springs is nearly identical to doing it on the DOHC ford mod motors.

I suspect both are descendents of an old yamaha patent or at least influenced greatly by it.

if you're referencing the DOHC 4.6 ford engine.....it appears to me to be a take off of the old 427 cammer.

i didn't have time to open the above link at work today...just now tried, and it no workie. i went into my info system, and can find no tsb's on the valve springs. what year is it? i looked under 2010.
